University College Dublin

Supervisor: Prof. Gareth Redmond

Amita Joshi received her master’s degree from Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India with Gold Medal in chemistry in 2008. She is currently a researcher at Nano-Bio Interaction Centre, School of Chemistry & Chemical Biology, University College Dublin, Ireland, where she is pursuing PhD degree.

Current Amita's research:

Study of physical and chemical properties of novel nanostructure compounds
This short video was taken on ICGEE Annual Workshop in Galway, August 2010.

This research project is mainly focused on the study of photophysical properties and biological application of different conjugated polymer (CP) nanoparticles. These highly emissive nanoparticles are stable and can be engineered into different bio-compatible forms to study the cancer cell interaction and making bio-sensors.
